YellowBird Covers every Pro with three insurance policies any time work is completed with an Organization through the platform.
Occupational Accident Coverage:
Comparable to workers compensation, but for independent contractors. This policy will cover medical bills and rehabilitation for work related injuries that occur on any YellowBird job. The policy is capped at $100,000,000.00 and covers up to death and dismemberment. Once you are match ready, you will receive a copy of this coverage including a claim submissions packet and a beneficiary designation form which is someone who can advocate for your wishes if you are not able to communicate and would be the primary beneficiary in the case of death. Please note that you are still covered on the policy even if you do not return the beneficiary form to YellowBird.
Professional Liability Policy:
This policy is important as it will protect your personal net worth from being called into question while doing work with Organizations through the YellowBird platform. Often, this policy is referred to as “errors and omissions”, so if a customer were to file a liability claim against your work on a job, this policy would investigate both sides and if the liability is on the YellowBIrd Pro, the policy will pay out the damages up to $100,000,000.00.
Hired Non-Owned Auto Insurance:
This policy will cover your driving both to and from a YellowBird related job, and if needed, driving during the job. To comply with this policy, it is requested that all Pros meet a few requirements. Pros must be insured personally for auto insurance to the level of $300K. This means that if you take all of your lines of coverage (bodily injury, property damage, uninsured motorist, collision etc.) and add them up, it should total $300K or greater. In most states this is the minimum policy. The YellowBird coverage will then cover an additional $100,000,000.00 liability on top of the $300K.
